Grandma Takes a Hike

As if having Brian and RaeDell visit for two weeks wasn't enough (really, it was wonderful) RaeDell helped a friend drive down a week after she left and stayed here a few more days. The best part of the visit was RaeDell took Trent and Rachel back with her for almost 3 weeks! Travis and I were extremely bored as we learned taking Trav's two best friends away makes mom a dull third choice. I spent my days swimming in the kiddie pool with Travis. He loved it. I'm still recovering.

A few times a year we go hiking on the mountain by our house. RaeDell decided to join us 4,500 feet higher in elevation than she is used too and in FLIP FLOPS she hiked up the narrow switchbacks. We were so proud of her and the kids. It was quite hot even early in the morning.
