OK, I'll play tag too

OK here goes my first ever tagging post (with any luck maybe my last as well, I stink at this):

Six Unspectacular Things About Myself:
1. I stink at remembering names and faces but I can tell you the specs of the microchip I used on a project 6 years ago and how I wired it up. Now if I can just channel some of those tech memory skills to remembering faces. Maybe I should try to imagine people holding those chips and see if that works.
2. I play the bass. I started in 5th grade to get out of piano lessons, but just kept on playing. Did it in elementary, Jr High, High School and college. I find groups here and there to play with occasionally. I recently found a philharmonic orchestra I plan to join.
3. I have a goal to climb Mt. Rainier, hopefully before I'm 40. Utah has a few good 11,000+ foot peaks to practice on.
4. I have way too many stories, but I've gotten a little better about not needing to share them.
5. I will tackle just about any home fix-it job. Give me the internet and a few hours to read and plan it and off I go. I've done roofing repair, insulation, concrete work, rough plumbing, finished plumbing, electrical wiring, cable, internet, and speaker wiring, framing and drywall, finish carpentry, painting and landscaping all in this house. Guess the only things left are new windows, tiling and hardwood floors.
6. I have a knack for figuring things out and fixing broken stuff. I also have a curse with my own electronic stuff. It all breaks at once. Good thing I have that knack to fall back on.

What was I doing 10 years ago? Getting ready for mid-terms, counting down the months 'til I graduated, considering switching my major to Electrical Engineering instead of Electronics Engineering Technology (I really should have done that), and thinking what in the world I got myself into having our first child who was a few days old and who cried from 3pm til midnight.

5 favorite snacks: chocolate chip cookies, more cookies, chips and salsa, mountain dew, sliced cheese and wheat-thins

5 Things on my list today: Take it easy with my messed up ankle, finishing cleaning cherrie buckets for food storage, Get appointments lined up for Bishop, try to keep the kids occupied to let Jenn have some down-time and a nap, and try to successfully get Travis to clean up a few of his scatter-play messes.

5 Things if I was a multi-millionaire: I wouldn't be for very long, I'd probably give most of it away. Things I like to do before it's gone: Set up a scholarship fund for family and friends that ensures you get into BYU; buy a beach house in Carmel, California with a garage to hold a few nice cars like a M5 and a Tesla roadster; Build a completely off grid, green home; develop a cheap sustainable way to provide electricity using nature and deliver to remote places and villages; Keep a little for future offspring and donate the rest to charity.

5 Places I've lived: Whitecenter (West Seattle), WA, Auburn, WA, Denmark, Provo, UT, Layton, UT

5 Jobs I've had: Hardware Engineer, Software Engineer, Hardware Engineer, Software Engineer, Hardware Engineer (J/K, LOL, I've jumped around jobs a bit, can you tell?) Other mentionables, bagger at Albertsons, Waiter, Busboy, Cook (in that order) at Trotters, Warehouse worker at KCDA, Videotape Fulfillment (truely as fun as it sounds, labeler, folder, stuffer, shrink wrapper, stacker, boxer, machine fixer guy, shift lead at Osborn Video/CDI Media.

I did forget to tell both you and Jen that Rick got implants where those magic teeth were supposed to be. So, I never got the opportunity to see the magic teeth. I like the funny stories though.

Ok, you are funny. Are you seriously going to climb Mt. Rainier? I would love to think I could condition myself to do it, but I am not so sure. It would be a blast though.
