The Ranch

Ryan's parents are on a LDS service mission at the Deseret Cattle Ranch in St. Cloud, Florida. They've been there a year and will return in February 2008. We didn't want two years to go by without seeing them, thus the vacation to Florida idea was born. We went to Disneyworld and Seaworld for the first 4 days, two of which Brian and RaeDell joined us. As if attending parks with young kids for two days wasn't enough of us, they graciously let us come stay at their place for the last four days of our trip. We really enjoyed the beautiful ranch. It reminded Jenn of the Hamilton Air Force Base fields near the inland water by San Francisco. The ranch house they live in was built in 1928 and now serves as the visitor center. It has a wrap around porch that is screened in all around. Brian and RaeDell have a separate bedroom with a bathroom and laundry in it and full use of the kitchen. RaeDell spends her time giving tours of the ranch in a shuttle bus, greeting visitors, hosting ward activities, missionary dinners, and other visitors as well as office and temple work. Brian spends most of his time doing farm maintence of all sorts and temple work. They are very busy! Their mission makes us excited to serve one someday.

Ummm...I know it's a ranch, but that livingroom is going to give me nightmares, for sure.
