We took the famed airboat ride and ranch tour. The birds were incredible -large and full of color. The weather was chilly for Florida standards, so there weren't as many animals out, but we did catch some glimpses of gators, turtles, wild hogs, cows, raccoons, wild turkeys, and lizards. Walking in the "forest" in the backyard and collecting sticks and looking for lizards kept the kids occuppied for hours.
Jenn's favorite scene were the Cyprus trees in the swamps. The little stumps are the tree roots that grow up. They are called knees.
