I Dreamt of Emilee

I had a dream last night and want to share it. It was more delightful and comforting and especially neat that I had it on the eve of Easter Sunday. I was asked to share my story of Emilee in Relief Society today, so she has been on my mind all week. I'm also teaching a lesson to the 4-5 year olds titled "Jesus Christ Made it Possible for Us to Live Forever" so the ressurection and after-life have been on my mind a lot as well. I've had such great feelings of hope and peace.

So, here is my dream: It was Monday, the day I go down and help out the boys and David. It was after school and we were folding laundry and making dinner. I got a phone call. It was Emilee! She said she was given special permission to call from heaven and check on her family as she was very concerned about them, especially Brenton, her 15 year old. She was very matter-of-fact on the phone, asking questions like how they were doing in school and church, offering solutions to their problems, asking if they were eating properly, etc. She also asked how they were being helped out each day and who was helping. I was proud to tell her that a family member was there every day after school for a few hours to help with cooking, cleaning, school work, and being with the boys. She was especially excited to hear my sister Laurie was in better health and helping out. Then Emilee asked to talk to Brenton, who proceeded to cry and tell her how much he missed her. Jonny did the same thing. The boys talked to their mom for a few minutes each and told her they would keep doing their best.

Before I said goodbye to her on the phone (mind you the conversation was very matter of fact -so Emilee style) I had to know what heaven was like and how she was doing. She said, "Heaven is everything we learned about on earth and all the more. All that we have learned at church is true!" She also explained that she missed her boys and David and couldn't wait to be reunited. Then the call ended, as she had to go for her call time was up.

The dream continued and I saw Emilee appear in her home many times. She was wearing a white nightgown and trying to communicate to us how to do things around the house and was watching over us. In my dream only I could see her, but her boys were trying real hard to see her, too. I kept telling them she was with us even though she wasn't alive anymore.

Anyway, I'm not a dreamer at all, so I woke up very excited that I had a vivid dream with conversations and all. I feel very joyful about it. I do know there is a afterlife, that those who left before us are waiting to be reunited. I'm so grateful for the sacrifices Jesus Christ made for me and my family. Happy Easter! -Jenn

Thanks for sharing! I definately believe in dreams as a place to recieve inspiration or visit with people that we love (though I haven't had that experience myself). What a wonderful experience, that hopefully brought her boys comfort too.
