Sorry for not updating information on my dad in a timely matter -we've been crazy busy packing for the move this Friday. My dad went home on Sunday, May 31. He was scheduled to go home on Saturday but my mom (his main caregiver) fell and injured her knee so his release time was delayed. He came home a little earlier than expected and is really happy to be out of the hospital. He is very weak and discouraged at times, so if anyone wants to e-mail a hello to elaineellis5@gmail.com or send a note to 455 S 700 W, Orem, UT, 84057, go for it.
My parents are both recovering at home together being waited upon by grandaughters and my sister and kind neighbors. The timing is pretty rotten for me to help out with the move -I really wish I could lend more of a hand but am happy to know others are assisting them.

Thanks, Jen. Knowing you were likely to be knee deep in packing boxes, I was hesitant to ask. Good luck with the move this Friday, and thanks heavens for granddaughters!

Thanks for the update on you dad.
It's so nice that you live close to family so that you can be there to help when needed. Maybe it doesn't feel that way sometimes but I don't live close enough to any of my family to help if needed on a regular basis and all I can do is worry about them and pray.
I emailed your Mom and a few days later, she emailed me an up-date report back. The recovery seems to be going slowly but it is happening, which is good news. They have both been through a lot this past year, so let's hope this surgery gives your dad back some of his old zip and the enforced rest helps your mom too.
